The European Union is finalizing the Directive on the harmonization of certain aspects of insolvency law. This directive will also significantly change Dutch insolvency law: there will be a duty to file for one’s own bankruptcy, new rules for the actio Pauliana, and the pre-pack will be regulated at European level. The Netherlandse Association for Comparative and International Insolvency Law, the Ministry of Justice and Security, and the editorial staff of the Journal for Insolvency Law are therefore jointly organizing a conference and a TvI special issue on this directive and its implementation. How will insolvency law change, what choices will we have to make, and what will this mean for practice? We’ll be looking ahead at the choices, opportunities, and challenges in implementing these rules into Dutch law and practice. Join the discussion! The programme will be in Dutch.
